I have loved mushrooms since childhood, and I have also been a programmer for a long time. Combining these two hobbies, I wrote this website. Previously, I had two other mushroom identification sites, which I sold. Only one of them remains accessible today. My goal with the current site is to create an easy-to-use search and identification platform that works great both in the field and at home. I hope it brings joy to others.

Note: The Tricholoma genus was created by the Swedish Elias Magnus Fries. tricholoma means hairy-edged. sejunctum is of Latin origin, meaning - separated, divided.
Species description: In 1799, when the British James Sowerby (1757-1822) described this species and named it Agaricus sejunctus, most gilled mushrooms were members of the agaricus genus. The famous French Lucien Quélet in 1872 transferred this species to the Tricholoma genus, so its scientific name became Tricholoma sejunctum.
